Peer Syed Khurram Riaz Shah was arrested today from the premises of anti-terrorism court Lahore when he was there to appear before court.
Reports about raid on Dr. Shafique Ameeni's house were circulating at pre-dawn today and later it was confirmed that TLP's executive member of CEC and head of negotiating team has been arrested. Remember that, the raid was made on night following the Eid day (Eid-ul-Adha) in Pakistan.
In a latest episode of state violence, police arrested naib ameer Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Peer Syed Zaheer ul Hassan Shah Bukhari outside of ATC court. He was there to appear before court on his summons. Remember that Peer Syed Zaheer ul Hassan Shah was also imprisoned for nearly 6 months along with former TLP chief Ameer ul Mujahideen Hafiz Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, back in 2018-2019.
Allama Ghulam Ghous Baghdadi, very prominent member of Central Executive Committee (CEC) of TLP, got arrested by LEAs at Lahore airport. He is the third CEC member who has been arrested after government reached an agreement with TLP in last April. As per the accord, PTI led government was supposed to expel French ambassador and release all detained or imprisoned TLP leaders and workers. But this is now fourth time when government is stepping back from agreement since last November and neither expelling French ambassador nor releasing TLP workers and chief. Rather, now government has detained third CEC member in last 15 days which shows the bad intentions of government.
Engineer Hafeez Ullah Alvi, member CEC of TLP got arrested by police outside the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore just before hearing of case for which he was there. Engr. Hafeez Ullah Alvi was there due to the summons issued for him. Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan termed it as cowardly and fomenting action by government and LEAs.
