TLP calls off its Karachi sit-in after successful talks with the Sindh government

After the Friday prayer, the leaders of Tehreek Labaik Pakistan (TLP) Karachi and a large number of participants reached Karachi Tower where TLP had announced a protest against those who organized an anti-Islamic show on International Minority Day. However, on reaching the Karachi Tower, the Karachi Police arrested many TLP workers participating in the protest, including former Sindh Assembly member Mufti Qasim Fakhri.  After this, TLP turned the protest into a sit-in until their demands were met. The Amir of TLP Karachi, Mufti Qasim Fakhri, was released after some time and the Sindh government held talks with the local leadership of the TLP regarding their demands, including effective action against anti-Islam demonstrators and to prevent such acts in the future. After the successful negotiations, the sit-in was called off on Friday evening. Remember that the so-called human rights organizations organized a show on the occasion of the International Day of Minorities where they celebrated and praised Salman Taseer Maaloon and Asiya Maaloon. Tabloids were also presented condemning the blasphemy laws (295C).
